Pickup In Store/ Curbside Service
At checkout, you will have the option to select "Pickup In Store" for Shipping Method. We will always try to fulfill these orders expeditiously. However, in some instances with Black Mingo hats and t-shirts, the color and size needed may be at an offsite location. We can still try to get same day if possible. Please let us know in the Comments box approximately when you would like to make the pickup. If there is any problems, we'll let you know ASAP. If you like curbside service, please call the store when you arrive and we will try to run the order out to your car.
Also, it is very important that you use a local address for the shipping address for the order, even though you will be picking it up. If not, you may have to come inside to reprocess the order to calculate the correct sales tax. If you don't have a local address, you can use the store address: 709 Front St, Georgetown, SC 29440.
We can ship to most any address in the continental United States. At this time we do not ship internationally. To help reduce shipping errors and delays, provide an accurate street address (please do not use PO Boxes for shipping) for prompt delivery of your order.
There is free shipping for orders exceeding a certain amount as posted on the home page. Otherwise, shipping is $7.95 flat rate. Some items may have a shipping surcharge that would be noted in the item's description. We use USPS, UPS or FEDEX ground service depending on the item and destination.
Notification, Tracking & Porch Pirates
We will notify you via email when the items ships. If possible, we will also provide the tracking information. We are not responsible for packages being delivered to the incorrect address (at fault of the carrier) or being taken/stolen from an insecure location. Once the package leaves our possession and until you take possession any claims or grievances need to be addressed with the delivery service or in cases of theft need to be filed with the local authorities. We will do our best to ship in a timely manner but cannot afford to continue to reship items in instances where packages are delivered and then lost or stolen off porches.
Returns & Exchanges
Purchases can be returned and/or exchange the merchandise within 14 days of purchase for exchange or store credit only. Underwear, bathing suits, face masks and other intimately worn items are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. Returns/Exchanges for online orders are accepted on new merchandise that have not been used or worn and have ALL tags attached. Tags can’t be torn or altered. Don't try to peel off label because it will tear. Prices may be blacked out or masked with small label for gifting. Bags like Patagonia's Black Hole bags, which are tightly packed within an inner pocket, must be returned in the same state as they were shipped.
All sale items are final
Items need to be in “sellable condition.” This means, the item should be unworn (aside from trying it on), unwashed, devoid of any stains, scuffs, tears, or mysterious smells, and with the manufacturer tags attached. Can’t be embroidered or had alterations. Sunglasses, watches, etc. need to have the original manufacturer stickers affixed. If you’re returning a pair of shoes or boots, we need the shoe box back in the same condition too.
If there are any questions with the return, please contact the store prior to sending the item back. The best way to contact is by email to: tee(AT)blackmingo.com. In the email, please describe the situation including exact product and when it was purchased, and be sure to include your best contact information.
To get receive store credit, the order must be shipped back to Black Mingo, 709 Front Street, Georgetown, SC 29440. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees. However, if you would like to make an even-exchange and/or receive a store-credit, you have the option to bring your online order into our storefront in Georgetown, SC. Shipping fees will not be refunded. Returned orders that received free shipping will have $7.95 deducted for shipping cost.
Black Mingo's systems do not capture customer credit card information. For eligible refunds of items purchased in the store, customer will need to provide their credit card again for refund credit back to the credit card. Cash refunds will only be given for cash purchases. For eligible refunds of items purchased online, we can initiate the refund back to the credit card through our online credit card processor.
Package up the merchandise you wish to return, including your receipt, within 14 days of purchase. Again, make sure all item(s) have not been used or worn, and have all tags attached. We ask that all returned items be sent back fully insured by USPS, UPS or FedEx, and that you obtain a tracking number for your records. Once we receive and inspect returned merchandise a store credit will be issued to your store account. We have the right to refuse any return at any time if we feel our policy has not been adhered to.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may bring it into our Georgetown location with your receipt to receive store credit or an even exchange. (as long as it is within 14 days, item(s) have not been used or worn, and all tags are attached). Under no circumstance will refunds be granted in store.
